ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Aleema Khan said that his party leaders didn’t get any amnesty under the National Reconciliation Order but Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan got it.
The PML-N leader was addressing a Foundation Day ceremony in Narowal, where he said that it seems as if the prime minister is still scaring the opposition.
“If the entire opposition is sent to the jail then the government cannot function,” he said.
“Fawad Chaudhry and Sheikh Rasheed have been loud speakers of every party’s tenure,” said Iqbal while criticizing the two federal ministers.
Iqbal said “those who will remain in the party will continue to earn respected otherwise will turn into Chaudhry Nisar.”
On Saturday, former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar held a press conference where he expressed reservations over the ongoing accountability process.
Nisar said that if the PML-N senior high command had followed his suggestions the party would have been in power right now.
“I suggested them to dilute there direct criticism on army and judiciary.”
Responding to a question that reports suggest the government has offered him Punjab chief ministership, Nisar replied: “Politics is done on principals. Its different from friendship.”
