Boy makes an escape from kidnappers

KARACHI: An abducted child hailing from Lahore, who made a successful escape from his kidnappers, was handed over to the citizens police liaison committee (CPLC) on Friday, after citizens found the boy crying at a railway station.
According to detail, Karachi east (KT) senior superintendent police (SSP) Azfar Mahesar mentioned, “The CPLC officials handed over the child to Tipu Sultan police station.”

Child Hamza, aged 14, informed the police that his family is living in Lahore’s Darogha Wala area.
He was on his way to school on Wednesday when unknown people in a black car kidnapped him.
“The abductors brought me to Karachi by road and when they stopped at Drigh Road to take food, I made an escape from the car, ran towards a train and managed to climb aboard,” Hamza revealed to the police.
“The police has gained information regarding Hamza’s family and will be safely handed over to them,” Mahesar told the media.
Last Sunday, Mirza revealed that a total of 2,363 cases were reported in Punjab, 2,258 in Sindh, 1,514 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) while 1,752 cases have been registered in Balochistan.–Agencies
