Cops, traders finalize roadmap to resolve various issues

ISLAMABAD: The officials of Capital Cops had a meeting with the traders’ union and prepared a roadmap to resolve security and encroachment related issues. According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and DIG Operations Waqar Uddin Syed, SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmed Sheikh, ASI Zohaib Ranjha, SHO Inspector Muhammad Ashraf met with Chairman Islamabad United Group ICCI Habib Ullah Zahid and other office bearers of traders’ union. Cop officials and traders exchanged views for improving security around the business areas. It is worthwhile to mention here that IGP Islamabad had directed all cop officials for such meetings with traders’ community to improve overall security measures in place. SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmed Sheikh appealed to all the participants to maintain complete coordination with police and discuss their issues without any hesitation. Police is ready to co-operate with them; he told traders and also ensured them to resolve their issues. The meeting focused to resolve security as well as encroachment issues and begging by professional almseekers. A road map was chalked out to resolve all such issues and to enhance cooperation for friendly business environment in the city. The traders appreciated this gesture of Capital Cops initiated on the special directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar khan and assured their complete co-operation. SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmed Sheikh asked the traders to keep a vigilant eye around their surroundings and inform police in case of observing any suspicious activity. Refererring to the meeting, he said that such interactions would be also helpful towards community policing in the city.
