Rangers, police arrest 15 criminals

KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and the police claimed to have arrested 15 suspected criminals during joint operations in different parts of the city.
Those arrested include suspected extortionists, notorious dacoits and drug peddlers. According to a press release, two extortionists – Ibrahim alias Abo and Sher Ali alias Shera – were arrested from Karli and Baghdadi areas.Moreover, during operations in Ferozeabad, Paposh and Madina Colony, the law enforcers arrested eight suspected robbers Naseebullah, Wahab Khan, Obaidullah, Rehmatullah, Hamidullah, Faheem Ahmed Qureshi, Muhammad Akbar and Shoaib alias Kalu. The suspects are said to have been involved in numerous incidents of mugging, robberies and other street crimes.
The security personnel also arrested Rashid from Paposh area of the city for possessing unlicensed weapons and selling drugs.
In the Jackson and Ferozeabad localities, the Rangers and police arrested four drug peddlers namely Amanullah Khan, Asif Khan, Saddam Hussain and Syed Qurban Ali.
According to a Rangers spokesperson, illegal weapons, ammunition, smuggled goods and drugs were also recovered from the possession of the above-mentioned accused. The detainees were later handed over to the police for legal proceedings.
Separately, 1,500 patients, including children, women and senior citizens, were provided free medical treatment and medicines at a medical camp organised by the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) in Nagarparkar on the first day of the six-day Nagarparkar Spring Festival 2020 on the theme “Pakistan Mari Jan, Thar Mari Shaan”.
