No Coronavirus case reported in Pakistan, claims Yasmeen

LAHORE: Provincial Health Minister, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid on Tuesday said that no case of coronavirus has been reported in Pakistan.
While addressing a presser in Lahore, she said that Pakistan was safe from the outbreak of coronavirus.
“Coronavirus attacks on the lungs and damages respiratory system. It also weakens the immune system. People in large numbers travel from China to Pakistan and back,” she said.
She further said that around coronavirus cases have been reported in twenty-seven countries of the world. “We have already done the screening of all Chinese residing in Punjab. We have made SOPs to tackle coronavirus. All passengers would have to undergo the screening process. We have also asked people to immediately approach concern doctor in case of any symptoms leading to coronavirus,” she said. The death toll in an outbreak of a new coronavirus in China has climbed to 426, and more than 19000 people have been infected, causing a global alarm.
More 2345 cases of coronavirus have been reported in China. Most traumas of the deadly virus have occurred in Hubei Province, China. The province with a population of 60 million is completely locked down. All schools and business centers in Tianjing, China, have been closed until further notice. The decision was taken by the authorities following the worsening situation in the country. The rapidly spreading virus has created fear and anxiety around the world. Chinese President Xi Jinping said that the spread of a deadly new virus is accelerating and country is at a ‘critical stage’. Following the worsening situation, the Chinese President contacted the World Health Organization for medical assistance.
