Kamran defends brother Umar

Karachi: Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal came forward in support of his brother Umar Akmal who was reportedly misbehaved with the coaching staff at National Cricket Academy (NCA) Lahore.
Akmal, while talking to a local news channel, defended his brother in the misbehaving case and asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for conducting a fair trial. “I think there is some sort of misunderstanding. The matter is not like it is portrayed. I believe PCB should call all people involved in it and conduct a fair investigation,” he said.
He further said that the trainer, whose name is coming out, is a school friend of Umar. “I can’t believe this, Umar and that trainer are school friends. If PCB finds Umar guilty, then he will apologize. I hope it wasn’t intentional,” he added.
It must be noted here that coaching staff at NCA reported to the PCB that international cricketer Umar Akmal misbehaved with them. Umar went angry after failing the fitness Test. According to the sources, he took off his shirt and asked the coach “Charbee Kahan hai (Show me where is the fat on my body)?” The matter was taken up by the PCB which is to take action against the cricketer.
