35 suspects rounded up during search operation

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose against anti-social elements, conducted a grand search and combing operation in various parts of Tarnol.
According to details, under the able supervision of SP Saddar Muhammad Umer Khan, Capital Cops conducted a grand search and combing operation at various parts of Tarnol. SDPO Khalid Mehmood Awan, cop commandoes and Bomb Disposal Squad took part in the given operation. The hunt was conducted at Shara-e-Kharbooza, Ittfaq Colony and it’s surrounding areas. 35 culprits were arrested during the operation after the cops screened 150 houses and inspected 200 suspects. Moreover, during the given action against crooks, two accused Afaq and Umer Farooq were caught with arms and ammunition. Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further probe is underway from the accused.

DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed, on the other hand, said that the purpose of these search operations is to heighten the security in the federal capital and to curb the crime at large, while further directing all cop officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social; activities. DIG further emphasized that it was the collective responsibility of every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform cops for action against them. “Safety of life and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no stone would remain unturned in this regard”, he stated.
