ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops on Wednesday reviewed the security arrangements made for cricket matches in connection with ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL-5) Tournament.
The formal review was made in a meeting presided over by IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar. The representatives of PSL administration and senior police officials of Islamabad were also present on the occasion while PSL administrators thanked Islamabad police chief for effective security arrangements during this event. They also expressed satisfaction over the parking arrangements at Parade Ground Shakarparian from where cricket lovers were being transported through Shuttle at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.The personnel of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) are performing duties for guidance of road users on this occasion and ensure smooth traffic flow. The alternate routes have been specified for the convenience of road users.
It was told that there had been complete coordination among Islamabad, Rawalpindi police and other law enforcement agencies for successful holding of this event. Foolproof security arrangements have been made at the `stay areas’ of the players participating in PSL while law enforcers are serving with commitment for safety to cricket fans.
