Premier inaugurates 4th KP U-21 games in Peshawar

Peshawar: Prime Minister Imran Khan has inaugurated the fourth edition of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U-21 Games 2020 at Qayyum Sports Complex in Peshawar.
Prime Minister was the chief guest of the glittering inauguration ceremony along with KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan. While motivating the participants at the ceremony, Imran urged that life is all about learning. ” Life is all about competition, there should be no fear of losing as it’s all about learning, A person loses when he gives up,” he said.
It must be noted that a record number of 26,000 athletes of 104 Tehsils of 32 districts including the merger tribal areas of KPK are participating in U-21 Games. In the first phase, six games comprising Football, Volleyball, Athletics, Badminton, Kabaddi, and Tug of war will be played for the men only. There will be no female games at the Tehsil level.
In the following phase at the district level, there will be 10 male and seven female games. A total of 3,616 male players are taking part in the following sports of Hockey, Table tennis, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo, Wrestling, Basketball, Gymnastics, Wushu, and Weightlifting.
