‘PSL matches will go as per schedule’

Karachi: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five matches at National Stadium in Karachi will take place as per schedule, confirmed information minister of Sindh, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah.
The announcement was made by the information minister along with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Director International, Zakir Khan after the meeting with Commissioner Karachi and Sindh Health ministry.
“The situation is under control of the Sindh Government and everything is fine. The PSL matches in Karachi will go on as per the schedule,” he announced.
“We will go as per schedule until there are any reservations from the Sindh government,” Zakir Khan said.
He also added that matches are being played everywhere so National Stadium will also host the matches too.
“PSL 5 matches are taking place all over Pakistan, Karachi leg will take place and there’s nothing to worry about,” he added.
The information minister also announced that before the matches, spray will be sprinkled all over the stadium and the points will be installed so the fans can sanitize their hands. The thermal screening will also be done in order to take precautionary measures.
It must be noted here that NSK is scheduled to host five matches including a qualifier from March 12 to 17.
Meanwhile, The City of Lights is all set to host the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5 once again as per the schedule, sources confirmed on Tuesday.
“Everything is alright here so far and National Stadium Karachi (NSK) will host PSL 5 once again as per the schedule. Commissioner Karachi is leading a meeting which includes Sindh Health Ministry currently at NSK and the final announcement will be made soon,” the source from NSK told.
The meeting will discuss precautions to prevent coronavirus and authorities will make sure complete medical check-ups on each entry gate across the stadium. The medical team will be there to check each and every person before allowing them to enter the stands.
On the other hand, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has also asked people to come to the stadium without any fear. “Come to the stadium without any fear. Authorities will make sure to implement all the precautions to prevent any mishappening,” he said.
