Two gangs busted, arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Koral and Khanna police stations busted two gangs of dacoits comprising six members and recovered weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
Following directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, he said special teams were constituted by DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed to arrest those criminals involved in heinous crimes. Superintendent of Rural Area Police Zone Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted special teams including SHO Khanna Police station Sub-Inspector Mirza Muhammad Gulfraz , SHO Koral Sub-Inspector Ishtaiz Hussain Shah and others arrested six members of two criminals gangs and recovered weapons along with ammunition from their possession. The gangsters nabbed by koral police station have been identified as Nadir Khan, Nawaz Khan, Muhammad Awais while those arrested by Khanna police were identified as Adeel Khan, Arshad and Usman .

During preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in several dacoities at gun point in various areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi and its adjacent areas. Further investigations is underway from them.
Case has been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed Islamabad has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance in their respective areas.
