Eight caught during crackdown against crooks

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements and while initiating crackdown against crooks in this regard, arrested eight during crackdown against criminal elements and recovered two snatched bikes, narcotics, wine and weapons from them.
According to details, following directives of DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed issued directions to all zonal officers for renewed efforts against those involved in anti-social activities.
Owing to these efforts, PS Sabzi Mandi nabbed 03 accused Pervez Khan, Taha bin Hafeez and Muhammad Ali Bilal and recovered snatched bike from their possession while PS Kohsar caught accused Zeshan and recovered snatched bike from him.
Similarly, PS Ramana police arrested two accused Farman Ali and Muhammad Faizan and recovered 150 gram hashish and one 30 bore illicit pistol from their possession, while the given cops also arrested accused Mir Wali involved in dacoity.
Similarly, PS Nilore booked accused Basit and recovered 03 bottles of wine from him.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway from them. DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-din Syed has said that these social evils would be curbed and those backing drug peddlers and professional beggars would be dealt with iron hands. He further emphasized that this campaign would continue till elimination of all anti-social elements.
