Man busted as distillery raided at Margallah Town

-Cache of liquor, narcotics recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, raided a distillery at Margallah Town; PS Khanna jurisdiction area, and caught a man while recovering a huge cache of alcohol, hashish and other materials.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Aamir Zulfiqar, renewed efforts have been underway for curbing bootlegging and drugpeddling activities in the city. In this regard, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed has been conducting special meetings with the heads of various police stations while thereby directing them to accelerate efforts against anti-social elements.
Thus, at a tip off, SP Investigation Dr.Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted a team to raid a distillery in the area. The given team, under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including SI Tariq Rauf along with others, conducted the raid and recovered a huge quantity of alcohol and 1202 grams hashish along other materials. The cops’ team also caught accused Sajid S/O Boota Maseeh, resident of sector G-6/2, during the raid. Further probe is underway from the accused.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed has appreciated this performance while directing for further effective measures against those involved in bootlegging and anti-social activities.
