ISLAMABAD: A citizen reported to PS Margalla that his three year old son Muhammad Azlan had been abducted by unknown individuals from Centaurus Mall. Upon receiving the information, the police promptly registered a case and began an investigation.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq took immediate notice of this serious incident and formed special police teams under the supervision of SSP Investigation, SSP Operations and SSP CTD to ensure the swift and safe recovery of the abducted child and the arrest of those involved.
The police teams, using modern technology, Safe City cameras and human intelligence, were able to trace the accused woman and recover the kidnapped child, in a very short period. The accused has been taken into custody and the child has been safely reunited with his parents.
The child’s parents expressed their gratitude and appreciated the efforts of Islamabad Police.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq praised the performance of the police teams and announced certificates of appreciation and rewards for them. Citizens are requested to cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious activity to the Pucar-15 helpline.
