Accused commits suicide to avoid arrest

ISLAMABAD: An accused jumped down a multi-storey building in an attemptedc suicide in order to avoid arrest as cops conducted raid at the place, here on Wednesday.
According to details, SSP Saddar Hamza Hamayun told The Daily Mail that the police raided a multi-storey building at Sector F-11 for the arrest of a wanted accused. However, the accused jumped off the building and died at the spot. His body was later shifted to the hospital.

3 including two bike thieves caught

ISLAMABAD: PS Sabzi Mandi arrested three accused involved in bike lifting and theft incidents and recovered two motorcycles, mobile phones and cash.
According to details, SSP Operations Islamabad Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer had categorically asked all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb crime and arrest those involved in criminal cases. Following these directions, SP Industrial Area Zone had constituted special police teams.
Thus, one of Sabzi Mandi police teams consisted PS Sabzi Mandi’s SHO Malik Liaquat Ali along with other officials, arrested two motorbike lifters later identified as Shehzad S/O Gul Hameed and Imran S/O Atta Gul, R/O Noshehra Kalan Tehsil and district Nowshehra. The cops’ team also recovered two stolen bikes from their possession.
During preliminary investigation, the accused confessed of lifting various bikes from the twin cities. The accused were found to be former jail birds also. PS Sabzi Mandi has also arrested a thief and recovered two mobile phones and cash from their possession. Physical remand of all accused has been obtained and further investigation is being initiated. Meanwhile, PS Bara Kaho nabbed an offender namely Aamir Shehzad alias Sajjoo, wanted in a murder case.
SSP Operations has appreciated this performance. He directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb crime in their respective areas and to physically remain in their areas to check the susupects, now and then.
