Karachi: Pakistan umpire Ahsan Raza is going to officiate the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 final, which will be played between Australia and India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday, March 8th.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has congratulated Ahsan on his appointment for the big final on International Women’s Day.
The 45-year-old on-field partner will be English umpire Kim Cotton while West Indies’ Gregory Braithwaite will be the third umpire and Zimbabwean Langton Rusere as the fourth umpire.
Former English cricketer and now a match referee of International Cricket Council (ICC) elite panel, Chris Broad will lead the playing control team.
It must be noted that Ahsan was also appointed on-field umpire for the semi-final clash between India and England, which was washed-out in Sydney on March 5th.
