Karachi: India’s renowned commentator and analyst Aakash Chopra has declared Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan as the player of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five. Former Indian batsman, in a Facebook video, appreciated the 21-year-old batting performance as he scored 263 runs in eight innings, which included three fifties at a strike-rate of 159.39 with an average of 37.57.
“Shadab Khan, for me, is the player of the tournament, he batted brilliantly however he took only eight wickets. Well done Shadab,” he said.
“It was an incident-free PSL, it is such a fantastic moment and if the things go like this, more cricket will be played in Pakistan,” he added.
It must be noted that for the very first time in history PSL took place entirely in Pakistan but unfortunately the knockout phase got postponed due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
