BAKU: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey Hulusi Akar.
The delegation includes Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces Yasar Guler, Commander of the Turkish Land Forces Umit Dundar, and Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces Adnan Ozbal.
While, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a letter to Zoran Milanovic, President of the Republic of Croatia.
“Dear Mr. President,
I was deeply saddened by the news of casualties and destruction as a result of an earthquake that hit your country. On the occasion of this tragedy, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the families and the loved ones of those who were killed and all the people of Croatia, and wish the injured the soonest possible recovery,” the letter said.
Dalia Itzik, Former President of Israel, Member of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center sent a letter to Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Meanwhile, First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva has congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on 31 December-World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year.
In a post on her official Instagram page, Mehriban Aliyeva said: “Dear fellow countrymen! I congratulate you on the occasion of 31 December- World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year and extend my best wishes to each of you.
