ISLAMABAD: PTI leader and former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that all rules are being trampled to save the chief ministership of Hamza Shehbaz.
Talking to the media on Monday, he said that the PTI would have gained a majority had the ECP issued a notification for the reserved seats of the Punjab Assembly. He said that the government is unable to feel the injustice of the farmers of Sindh.
About the blasphemous statements of the Indian leaders, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that he was surprised at the silence of the FM Bilawal Bhutto over hurting of the national sentiments. “The OIC should also look into the matter.”
During a meeting with the leaders of Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen, he said that Sindh and Balochistan are facing the water crisis.
He demanded that Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz should stop injustice meted out to the farmers of Southern Punjab.

Assembly that fell vacant after the de-notification of PTI legislators over defection, senior PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced on Sunday. He made this announcement while briefing the media after the PTI’s core committee meeting in Bani Gala as PTI Chairman Imran Khan arrived at his Islamabad residence following his weeks-long stay in Peshawar.
The Election Commission of Pakistan last month said the by-elections on the 20 vacant seats would be held on July 17.
Talking to the media, Qureshi expressed apprehension that the Punjab government would employ its resources to influence the by-polls. –Agencies
