WASHINGTON: Fourth seed Reilly Opelka of United States twice came from a set down to win tennis’s Delray Beach Open, as he first defeated second seed Milos Raonic of Canada and then edged past Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka in Sunday’s final. Opelka claimed his second ATP Tour trophy after notching 27 aces on his way to a 7-5, 6-7(4), 6-2 victory against Nishioka. Earlier in the day, the 22-year-old had rallied past former world No. 3 Raonic 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-3 in a rain-delayed semifinal. “It’s very tough to break his service games,” Nishioka said of the final. “In the third set I lost my mind a little bit and maybe he saw it, he came out and tried to be a little bit aggressive. It worked. That was the key.” – Agencies
