Andy rates Multan Stadium as the best venue

Karachi: Former England coach Andy Flower has appraised Multan Cricket Stadium as one of the best venues in the world and also hailed the crowd too who came in large numbers to support Multan Sultans.
Flower, who is the head coach of Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five has appreciated his stay in the city of saints as one of the unforgettable ones.
“Our stay in Multan has been a memorable one, thanks to the warmth and hospitality of the people of Multan. The support of the crowd was phenomenal in all three games,” he said in a press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He was in awe of the electric atmosphere he witnessed during their matches in the last four days.
“The atmosphere in the stadium was electric throughout all the matches and the fans showed great passion and love for the game,” he added. The former Zimbabwean left-handed batsman rated the venue as one of the best and is expecting to come back soon in Multan “I would definitely rate this venue as one of the best ones in the world and look forward to coming back with Multan soon,” he concluded.
PCB CEO Wasim Khan said that the passion for cricket was not restricted to the stands as the people have an immense interest in the game.
“These scenes, however, were not only limited to the stands. People in Multan have a serious passion for cricket and one could feel that in every part of the city,”
“These are the encouraging signs for the PCB and our next aim is to bring international cricket back to the city,” he added.
It must be noted that there were three matches scheduled in Multan and about 80,000 fans witnessed the matches played after a gap of 12 years.
