ISLAMABAD: The annual Urs of Bari Imam is continuing in the federal capital, with the district administration overseeing arrangements for visitors arriving at the shrine.
During a visit to the site, Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG), Sahibzada Yousaf reviewed security measures, food services, parking facilities, lighting and other arrangements to ensure smooth management of the event.
According to the district administration, organized facilities have been put in place at the Bari Imam shrine to facilitate visitors attending the annual Urs. Yousaf visited the shrine and inspected various areas to assess the arrangements being provided.
During the visit, he reviewed security measures and examined the procedures in place for visitors entering and leaving the shrine premises. He inspected the entry and exit gates and checked the screening process being carried out for visitors.
The ADC General also visited the langar khana, where free meals were being provided to visitors. He reviewed the food distribution process and checked the quality of the meals being served during the Urs.
Special attention was given to facilities available for visitors during evening hours. Sahibzada Yousaf reviewed lighting arrangements around the shrine and examined seating areas established for people attending the gathering. Officials briefed him on measures taken to manage crowds and maintain visitor movement within the premises.
The inspection also included a review of parking facilities established for visitors. The ADCG directed officials to ensure that parking areas remained properly managed to avoid inconvenience for people arriving at the shrine. He also inspected washroom facilities and instructed the concerned authorities to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the event.
District administration officials said efforts were being made to provide necessary services to visitors during the Urs. Instructions were issued to ensure the continued availability of facilities and to address any issues that might arise during the gathering.
Assistant Commissioner Secretariat briefed the Additional Deputy Commissioner General on the arrangements made for the event. The briefing covered security measures, visitor management, sanitation, food services, parking facilities and other operational matters related to the annual Urs.
The district administration stated that monitoring of arrangements would continue throughout the event to ensure that visitors would receive the required facilities and the activities at the shrine to proceed smoothly. Officials said coordination among different departments remained in place to manage the influx of visitors and maintain services at the venue during the annual religious gathering.
