ISLAMABAD: Another patient of dengue hemorrhagic fever on Friday died in Islamabad, taking this year’s tally to six. At least 121 more people were diagnosed with the mosquito borne disease in the capital during past 24 hours.
The situation in the garrison city of Rawalpindi is not encouraging either as 59 more people reported to hospitals in the province with dengue symptoms. Only at city’s Allied Hospital, 249 patients are currently admitted. Hence the total number of people infected by the virus in the city this year stands at 1424.
