Cape Town: South African batsman Farhaan Behardien has ended his 14-year association with the Titans as he has signed a Kolpak deal with English county side, Durham. Farhaan was considered to be one of the underrated allrounders at the international level and also as one of the finest finishers in white-ball cricket.
The 36-year-old played 59 ODIs and 38 T20Is for the proteas. He also played in four ICC tournaments for his country.
He made 1074 runs at a strike-rate of 97.90 in ODIs and in T20Is he scored 518 runs at a strike rate of 128.
He notched 6,794 first-class runs for the Titan and also captained South Africa’s Twenty20 side in 2017 for a short while. It must be noted that recently Morne Morkel, Hashim Amla, and Vernon Philander also decided to choose Kolpak deals at the end of their respective careers.
