Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a protest outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, today, on the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK chapter Convener, Mohammad Farooq Rehmani led the protest while the AJK Prime Minister, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was chief guest at the event.
Addressing the rally, AJK Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas said the purpose of the Indian Prime Minister’s visit was to boost morale of his troops who are losing war in the occupied territory.
Dozens of Indian soldiers are committing suicide in Kashmir due to abnormal mental health, he added.
APHC-AJK chapter Convener, Mohammad Farooq Rehmani on the occasion said the visit of the Indian Prime Minister to IIOJK is immoral and illegal as India has been occupying Kashmir since 1947. The Indian Prime Minister’s visit to the territory is to misguide the international community about the real situation of the territory, he said.
Other Hurriyet leaders also expressed strong concern about the unprecedented rise in human rights violations perpetrated by Indian forces on innocent Kashmiris.
It is pertinent to mention that the people of Kashmir are observing complete shutdown on the call of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on the visit of the Indian Prime Minister.
