Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited headquarters of the Special Service Group (SSG) and lauded their professional performance and sacrifices in counter-terrorism operations, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The army chief’s visit was in connection with installation of colonel commandant of SSG, Major General Abid Rafiq.
Talking to guests, including serving and retired officers of SSG, Gen Bajwa hailed their unmatched contributions, especially during counter-terrorism operations.
He said that SSG of Pakistan Army is the best special force in the world and they have proved it through professional performance and great sacrifices of their sweat and blood, according to ISPR.
The army chief also laid wreath at the Martyrs Monument.
