RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army Soldier, Sepoy Hamid Ali (age 28 years, resident of Sargodha), martyred during exchange of fire with terrorists in North Waziristan, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement released Thursday.
According to Military Media Affairs Wing, own Troops responded in a deterrent manner to calm down huge losses. “On night 1/2 Jun 22, terrorists fired at a military post in general area Datta Khel, North Waziristan District”, ISPR said, adding, “Own troops initiated a prompt response and effectively engaged the terrorists’ location”.
However, during intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Hamid Ali (age 28 years, resident of Sargodha) having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat, the statement said.
It said sanitization of the area was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
Pakistan Army was determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers will not go unpunished, the statement concluded. –ISPR
