ISLAMABAD: The Airport Security Force (ASF) recovered weapons and bullets from a car at Islamabad Airport on Wednesday and arrested two people. According to the sources, the ASF personnel searched a car and recovered one SMG gun, five dozens of bullets, five SMG magazines, a 12-bore gun and two magazines.
The sources further said that the suspects Hamza and Shafqat were first taken to the Control Room and after brief questioning were handed over to the police. Early last month, authorities at Islamabad International Airport foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of heroin abroad. According to details, the personnel of the Airport Security Force (ASF) arrested driver of a car at the airport and recovered over 21 kilograms of heroin hidden in six packets worth millions of rupees. The ASF jawans handed over the driver, Muhammad Amin, to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).

crackdown against crooks
ISLAMABAD: SSP Operations Syed Mustafa Tanvir on Wednesday said efforts were afoot to make Islamabad safest city as it was the foremost priority of Capital Cops. A massive crackdown had been launched against anti-social elements and drug peddlers to purge this menace from the city, the SSP said.
Meanwhile, Capital Cops busted 11 outlaws from various parts of the city and recovered narcotics and weapons from their possession. The police stations falling under the jurisdiction of Industrial Area Zone conducted special checking following the directions of SP Liaqat Hayat Niazi. The police teams apprehended five accused Musawar Khan, Sakhi Dad, Qasir Taj, Muhammad Saddique and Muhammad Nazeer and recovered 230 gram heroin, four illicit pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Moreover, SP Saddar zone Muhammad Sarfraz Virk constituted special teams of Ramana and Margalla police stations that recovered 2100 grams of hashish by arresting two drug peddlers Abid and Abrhim. Similarly Ramna police also arrested two afghan Nationals accused namely Ahmed and Hassal. Further-more Aabpara police arrested two accused Muhammad Aamir and Jame Jozaf and rcovered 125 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from their possession. Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
Two drug peddlers caught
with 2195 grams charas
ISLAMABAD: On the direction of SP Industrial Area zone Liaquat Hayat Khan Niazi Police station Noon of Industrial Area Zone has apprehended two drug sellers and recovered 2195 grams charas from their possession. Cases have been registered while further investigation is underway against the accused. SI Nawaz thabal and ASI Jamshaid Khan took part in action. SSP operations have lauded the performance of PS Noon.
