Karachi: Asia Cup 2020 has been called off following the current novel COVID-19 pandemic across the world, claimed Saurav Ganguly – President of Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI).
In a chat with Indian journalist on Instagram, Ganguly said that current situation doesn’t allow to hold the multi-nation tournament.
“Asia Cup has been canceled,” claimed Ganguly just a day before the scheduled Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting.
It must be noted here that Pakistan was to host the Asian event this September. The tournament was likely to take place at a neutral venue after India refused to travel neighbors due to political tensions among both countries. – Agencies
