Asian Hockey Federation postpones Junior Asia Cup due to coronavirus

Lahore: The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) has formally postponed Junior Asia Cup due to coronavirus pandemic, media reported on Wednesday.
The tournament was scheduled from 4-12 June in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Junior Asia Cup was to be attended by teams from Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Oman, and Uzbekistan.
Junior Asia Cup was also the qualifier event for the Junior World Cup scheduled in 2021.
It is pertinent to mention here that coronavirus has effected the entire world at this moment. The majority of the countries have locked down their cities to restrict the spread of this virus. Almost all sports activities around the world have been postponed for an indefinite period of time.
