Karachi: Pakistan’s hard-hitting batsman Asif Ali has been picked up by Jamaica Tallawahs for Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020, scheduled in August this year.
Asif, who has played 18 ODIs and 25 T20Is for Pakistan since his debut in 2018, last time represented Barbados Tridents, titleholders.
On the other hand, left-arm pacer Twenty20 specialist Sohail Tanvir has been picked up by St Kitts & Nevis Patriots for this year’s edition.
It must be noted here that all six teams of the league finalized their teams for this year’s edition. The league is scheduled to take place from Aug 19 to Sep 10 amid monitoring the scenario built up due to COVID-19. – Agencies
