ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Austria to Pakistan, Wolfgang Oliver Kutschera, on Thursday visited the headquarters of National Grid Company (NGC) in Lahore and met Managing Director Engineer Altaf Hussain Malik to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
The managing director warmly welcomed the ambassador and the delegation from Andritz Hydro, a renowned Austrian company with longstanding involvement in Pakistan’s hydropower sector, said a press release.
Both sides discussed avenues to further strengthen collaboration in the energy sector and reaffirmed the importance of international partnerships in achieving Pakistan’s energy goals.
The Austrian ambassador assured full support for the development of Pakistan’s energy sector and expressed interest in expanding future cooperation.
Engineer Altaf Hussain Malik thanked the ambassador and his delegation for their visit and expressed commitment to maintaining continued engagement and strengthening bilateral ties.
NGC also appreciated the positive engagement with the Austrian Embassy and expressed hope for sustained dialogue and cooperation in the future, the statement added.
