ISLAMABAD: Following the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police participated in DataFest 2025, organized by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) at the Pak-China Friendship Centre.
During the two-day event, the Islamabad Police Safe City division set up a stall showcasing the modern Command and Control System, the nature and significance of Safe City cameras, drone technology, and advanced bomb disposal technologies.
Visitors were provided with detailed information and awareness regarding these technologies. In addition, at the conclusion of the event, the traffic education team conducted a special awareness session on traffic laws, safe driving, road safety, and the importance of responsible driving.
Awareness was also provided about the working of Safe City Islamabad, its advanced technologies, and their practical application.
On this occasion, the Director General (DG) Safe City Islamabad Muhammad Haroon Joya stated that, the purpose of setting up such stalls is to promote Islamabad Police’s public-friendly policies, enhance community policing, and raise awareness about Safe City technology among the public.
At the conclusion of the event, the DataFest administration presented Islamabad Police with a commemorative shield in recognition of their efforts and contribution.
