ISLAMABAD: Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Tuesday paid glowing tribute to the martyrs of the police force on Police Martyrs’ Day, saying their unparalleled sacrifices for eliminating terrorism, maintaining peace and ensuring the rule of law would always be remembered.
In a message issued on the occasion, the Speaker said police officers and personnel had rendered invaluable sacrifices for the country’s peace and security, displaying exceptional courage, professionalism and dedication to duty.
He said the entire nation saluted the bravery, valour and commitment of the police martyrs, adding that the sacrifices made by the security forces and law enforcement agencies for the establishment of peace and the supremacy of law were unforgettable.
Ayaz Sadiq said the sacrifices of the martyrs were a source of pride for the nation and would continue to inspire future generations.
He added that the police force had been playing a frontline role in the fight against terrorism and safeguarding the lives and property of citizens.
The Speaker also paid tribute to the patience, resilience and courage of the families of the martyrs, acknowledging their enduring sacrifices for the nation.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to elevate the ranks of the police martyrs and grant strength and patience to their bereaved families. –Agencies
