Karachi: Test skipper Azhar Ali said Tabish Khan’s selection solely depends on the selectors who are responsible to pick players for the national team.
Speaking to reporters via online press conference, Azhar appreciated Khan for maintaining consistency in his performance at the domestic level.
“Credit goes to Tabish who has maintained consistency in his performance at the domestic level,” said the skipper. “However, his selection in the national team is to be decided by the selectors as they select the team. While selecting the team they obviously consider all the factors which include age too,” he added.
It must be noted here that Tabish has recently bagged 38th five wicket-haul on the first day of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2020-21. With this fifer, Tabish First-Class wickets tally reached 573 in 129 games. He also has 73 wickets in 58 List A games and 42 scalps in 43 T20s under his belt.
