QUETTA: Sardar Sarfaraz Chakar Domki, Balochistan’s Provincial Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, passed away on Monday in Karachi after battling lung and kidney disease.
He was 55.
Sarfaraz had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital for the past 10 days.
His death was confirmed by his family, who shared that the minister had been in critical condition prior to his passing.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep sorrow, describing Sarfaraz as a seasoned politician whose death leaves Balochistan politics bereft of an intellectual leader.
“We share the grief of his family,” the prime minister remarked. He also prayed for strength for the bereaved family.
President Asif Ali Zardari also conveyed his condolences, highlighting Sarfaraz’s significant contributions to Balochistan’s political landscape. –Agencies
