ISLAMABAD: PS Shalimar arrested a bank Manager over the charges of harassing a woman.
According to details, a video about harassment of a woman by manager of a bank at F-10 Branch went viral on social media. IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar took notice of it and directed DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed for prompt action. DIG Operations consituted a special team under the supervision of ASP Shalimar Rana Abdul Wahab including SHO Shalimar police station and others. The team nabbed the credit manager of the bank identified as Usman Gohar allegedly involved in harassing a woman. Legal proceedings have been initiated and investigation is underway from the accused. IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar and DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed have appreciated performance of police team and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for it’s members.
Foreigner caught with arms
at Islamabad Airport
ISLAMABAD: The Airport Security Force (ASF) arrested a foreigner after recovery of ammunition from his luggage at New Islamabad
International Airport on Sunday.
According to details, the scanners detect some suspected material in luggage of foreigner at Islamabad Airport after which ASF personnel searched the luggage and recovered 14 bullets and a magazine. The nabbed foreigner stated to be Chinese national was handed over to police with recovered ammunition.
7 caught with arms, drugs
ISLAMABAD: At the special directives of SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmad Sheikh, PS Sabzi Mandi and PS Shams Colony have been conducting special operations against drug pushers and anti-social elements.
Thus, during such operations, some 7 culprits were arrested while 3 kilo charas, 5 litres liquor and 3 illicit pistols were recovered. Cases have been registered against the accused. DIG Operations have appreciated the efforts of SP Industrial Area.
