MADRID: FC Barcelona on Monday announced that they have reached an agreement to loan Senegalese international full back Moussa Wague to Greek side PAOK Salonika for the remainder of the season.
It will be Wague’s second loan in two seasons after he spent last season playing for Nice in France.
The 21-year-old has only made four league appearances for Barca and hasn’t taken part in any of the club’s three pre-season friendly matches, highlighting that he is not in the plans of new Barca coach Ronald Koeman.
POAK finished second in Greece last season and a week ago defeated Portuguese giants Benfica 2-0 to book a place in the qualifying round ahead of the group stage of the Champions League.
Meanwhile, the Barcelona-based sporting press reported on Monday that striker Luis Suarez and the club have reached an agreement to rescind the Uruguayan’s contract and allow him to leave on a free contract.
Suarez is now being linked to a possible move to Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, who are prepared to allow Alvaro Morata to join Juventus.
Right back Nelson Semedo is on the verge of agreeing a move to Premier League outfit, the Wolves.
