Bilawal urges Govt to renegotiate IMF deal

Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that PPP does not want the Prime Minister Imran Khan to commit suicide for going to IMF rather we want PM to go back to IMF and strike a deal in favour of the people of Pakistan.
Talking to media in Lahore on Tuesday, Bilawal Bhutto said that it is unfortunate that the PTI government is against the civil society and the national and international NGOs. These NGOs work for the people of Pakistan like the civil society which works for the education, human rights and similar causes, he added.
Responding to a question about Nawaz Sharif and PML-N, he said that PPP wants to work with the opposition so that we can put pressure on the government. The PPP is the only party which has always raised its voice for the poor and unemployed. PPP government had increased the wages and pension so that the poor of the country could face the economic difficulties and keep their home and hearth, he maintained. The PPP Chairman said that it is the government which is admitting that inflation has increased many folds. It is not the FBR or any other department to talk about price hike rather the people of Pakistan are better judge whether they are poorer or better in this PTI government.
