ISLAMABAD: Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) have joined hands to explore mutual avenues for enhanced collaboration.
This was agreed during a meeting between Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid and Chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar, held here.
The Chairman of NADRA commended the impactful initiatives undertaken by BISP, particularly highlighting how BISP has significantly complemented NADRA’s nationwide efforts in registering women and juveniles.
The key areas of cooperation agreed upon during the meeting include NADRA’s full support for BISP’s initiative to deploy Mobile Registration Vans (MRVs) in remote regions, especially in Balochistan and Sindh.
This collaboration aims to enhance the accessibility of BISP services in these areas. Additionally, BISP and NADRA staff will be collocated in Union Councils where NADRA is implementing its pilot project, which aims to amplify BISP’s outreach and ensure increased beneficiary registration.
Furthermore, NADRA will provide requisite support at BISP Provincial Offices to address issues faced by BISP beneficiaries related to NADRA services.
This enhanced cooperation will further streamline operations, reinforcing the collective mission of both organizations to serve the citizens more effectively.
Senator Rubina Khalid expressed her gratitude for NADRA’s support and emphasized the importance of this collaboration in improving service delivery to the citizens. Chairman of NADRA reiterated his commitment to work closely with BISP to achieve shared goals.
