ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and Punjab Skill Development Fund (PSDF) held an important meeting at BISP Headquarters to discuss the progress of the BISP Skill Training Programme.
The meeting was attended by Chairperson of BISP, Senator Rubina Khalid, Secretary BISP, Amer Ali Ahmad and CEO of PSDF, Ahmed Khan.
The meeting focused on the progress of the Skill Training Programme, which aims to provide skill development opportunities to BISP beneficiaries and their family members across various trades.
Senator Rubina Khalid emphasized the importance of offering top-quality training courses that are recognized internationally.
She pointed out that such training could help beneficiaries find jobs abroad, improving their economic situation and allowing them to contribute to the country’s economy.
She also mentioned the increasing need for skilled workers in areas like hospitality management, home care, and receptionist roles. She stressed that trainees should learn basic work ethics and hygiene practices.
Ahmad Khan assured full support from PSDF in providing assistance for the skill training of BISP beneficiaries and their family members. He reiterated PSDF’s commitment to ensuring the success of this programme.
