‘Black day’ resolution adopted on 77-year Kashmir’s occupation by India

ISLAMABAD: On the completion of 77 years of illegal Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir region, National Assembly (NA) on Friday, adopted the resolution of ‘Black Day’ unanimously.
The resolution was presented by the minister of Kashmir Affair Engineer Amir Muqam.
It was said in the resolution that on Oct 27, 1948 Indian Armed forces occupied the land of Kashmir, against this occupation Oct 27 is commemorated as the Black Day.
“This House stands in solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people on the completion of 77 years of Indian armed occupation,” the text of resolution declares.
The resolution also reiterated the continued political, moral and diplomatic support of Kashmir cause.
The Lower House also condemned the imprisonment of thousands of Kashmiri political activists and the arrest of central leaders and paid tribute to the courage of Kashmiris.
It was demanded in the resolution that the issue of Kashmir must be resolved as per UN resolutions.
Earlier, The 77th founding day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is being celebrated today with great enthusiasm.
The founding day is celebrated in commemoration of freedom from the Dogra regime on the 24th of October in 1947.
The day is being celebrated with a renewed pledge to continue the struggle until the liberation of Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and accession of the entire territory to Pakistan.
The day started with 21 gun salutes, flag hoisting, special ceremonies to pay tribute to martyrs and heroes and prayers in mosques across Pakistan. Slogan of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir Zindabad were also chanted in various events.
Historically, Kashmir was a Muslim majority territory but it was annexed to India by tyrant Dogra rulers.
Kashmiri Muslims liberated a part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir by carrying out an armed struggle against the domination of India on October 24, 1947.
Kashmiris under the leadership of Sardar Ibrahim Khan started an independence movement against the Indian occupation and established a separate identity and government for the region with accession to Pakistan.
Kashmir has a structure similar to Pakistan with independent executive, legislative and judiciary. Azad Jammu Kashmir is an independent state having its own identity with flag and prime minister.
The government of Azad Jammu Kashmir is a war council that aims to make Jammu and Kashmir free from the illegal occupation of India.
The Government of Azad Kashmir with the diplomatic support of the government of Pakistan, has highlighted the struggles of Kashmiris in IIOJK.
International organization has declared IIOJK a territory and India can’t change its identity and status.
Kashmiri fighters, heroes and martyrs will always be remembered and Pakistanis are standing shoulder by shoulder with them.
Kashmir is a jugular vein to Pakistan having its special focus on the foreign policy of Pakistan.
