-Citizens, senior oficials visit injured Police personnel at Hospital to pay tributes

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil-ur-Rehman has rewarded the two injured policemen with Rs 1 lak cash for their valour with which they countered the outlaws few days back.
On the special directions of IGP, SSP Operations Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer, SSP Headquarters Muhammad Umar Khan and other senior officers inquired the health of the injured policemen at the PIMS hospital. SSP Headquarters visited the family of cop Muhammad Arshad. The SSP gave cash reward to both the injured cops of Islamabad police. It is worthwhile to mention here that SSP Investigation Atta-ur-Rehman, Additional SP Farhat Abbas Kazmi, SP Special Branch Zubair Ahmed Sheikh, Senator Saif Ullah Khan Niazi, Zulfi Bukhari, DC Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, President and members of ICCI also visited the PIMS hospital and inquired about the health of the cops. They appreciated the valour and courage with which they chased the dacoits. It is to mention here that a few days back, two Islamabad police cops were injured while chasing the alleged dacoits. They, however, foiled the dacoity bid in sector G-11/1 here and also arrested two accused on the spot.
Both the injured cops, Muhammad Arshad and Muhammad Saqlain are out of danger and in high morale, according to the officials. They said that both the personnel would be recommended for the Police Medal.
Capital Cops on Saturday foiled a dacoity bid in sector G-11/1 here and also arrested two accused on the spot. One of their accomplices, however, made good his escape. Two police constables also got injured in the encounter. According to the details, the police got the call that some unknown dacoits had broken into a house in street 169, sector G-11/1. The team from PS Ramna rushed to the spot and encircled the alleged dacoits. However, they started firing upon the police party. Despite stiff resistance, the police succeeded in apprehending two accused from the scene while one of their accomplices made good his escape. Two policemen also got injured in the fire from the accused. Constable Muhammad Arshad and Constable Muhammad Saqlain were immediately rushed to the PIMS hospital for medical treatment.
Upon receiving the information, IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman, DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmed Kousar, SSP Operations Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer and Zonal SP reached the spot immediately. The police, after the incident, started searching in the area for the arrest of the third accused. IGP appreciated the valour of the policemen which they showed and foiled the dacoity bid.
