BEIJING: Cancer expert and researcher Li Jingquan has been expelled from the Communist Party of China and removed from his public position after serious violations of discipline and law, the Hainan Commission for Discipline Inspection announced on Monday.
Li, who served as director of First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University, was found to have abused his authority for personal gain. This included banquets that could compromise the fair execution of official duties, receiving gifts and cash in violation of regulations, intervening in equipment procurement and benefiting personally from engineering projects. –The Daily Mail-China Daily news exchange item
