ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of the IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police continues an indiscriminate crackdown to eradicate narcotics from educational institutions in the federal capital.

In this regard, Islamabad Police held a coordination meeting at the Central Police Office Islamabad to ensure the complete elimination of narcotics from educational institutions.
Senior officers from Islamabad Police and the Anti-Narcotics Force, along with representatives of various educational institutions and universities, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Islamabad Police and ANF decided to develop a comprehensive strategy to eliminate drugs from educational institutions and to safeguard the young generation from this menace, so that all elements involved in this heinous trade can be effectively stopped.
It was also decided to hold special awareness seminars, in collaboration with the administration of educational institutions, to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
All stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to utilize all available resources for the protection and bright future of the youth, emphasizing that no negligence or leniency would be tolerated at any stage. Furthermore, drug networks will be dismantled, and all individuals involved will be exposed and brought to justice through strict legal action.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that at the government level, Islamabad Police along with all other law enforcement departments in Pakistan are actively fighting against narcotics.
The Islamabad Police’s “Nasha Ab Nahi” movement is also a part of these efforts, aimed at eliminating drugs from society. He further urged heads of educational institutions to fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies to protect students from this menace, and to conduct awareness campaigns to inform the youth about its dangers.
He also reiterated that Islamabad Police will not only dismantle the networks of drug dealers but will also ensure that no malicious elements are allowed to destroy the lives of the youth.
All individuals involved in this abhorrent and illicit trade will be brought before the law without exception.
