ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police organized a self-defense course for the citizens of the federal capital.
The objective was to equip them to handle challenging situations and ensure their personal safety. In the self defense course men and women participated. A concluding ceremony was held at Police Lines Headquarters, where AIG Logistics Abdul Haque Umrani distributed certificates among the participants.
During the self-defense course, candidates were trained in physical fitness, swimming, weapon handling, rappelling, obstacle navigation, horse riding, and archery. Previously, several batches of men and women have already completed this training.
On the occasion, AIG Logistics Abdul Haque Umrani stated that Islamabad Police is fully committed to ensuring the safety of life and property of the citizens of the federal capital. He added that addressing public issues on merit and with priority is among the police’s top goals. He further said that the purpose of conducting the self-defense course is to enhance mental and physical self-confidence among citizens and to promote community policing between Islamabad Police and the public.
