Capital Cops mark armed forces’ triumph with dignity, unity

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police organized various events to show solidarity with the Pakistan armed forces on their historic victory in the battle for truth. Following the special directives of the IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, tributes were paid to the armed forces through several ceremonies across the district.
All Islamabad Police buildings were illuminated from the night before. Quran recitation was held at the central mosque of Police Lines Headquarters after Fajr prayer and special prayers were offered across all police stations and divisions after Friday prayer for the armed forces and the martyrs of Pakistan.
The IGP Islamabad hoisted the national flag and offered a salute at Police Lines Headquarters. He also visited the martyrs’ memorial, laid a floral wreath and prayed for the martyrs. Senior officers of Islamabad Police were present on the occasion.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that the Armed Forces of Pakistan crushed the enemy’s arrogance in the battle for truth. Every member of Islamabad Police salutes the armed forces. Defending the nation is the foremost duty of every Pakistani.
He further added that Pakistan’s brave and professional armed forces have written a golden chapter in military history by giving a powerful and effective response to the enemy in its own language. The supreme sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs will not go in vain.
This historic victory in the battle for truth is not just the success of the armed forces but of the entire nation. Earlier, senior officers of Islamabad Police visited the families of the martyrs, laid floral wreaths at their graves and prayed for them.
On the occasion, they stated that Islamabad Police never forgets the sacrifices of its martyrs. Living nations never forget the sacrifices of their heroes.
The brave sons who laid down their lives for the peace of the country are a source of pride for Islamabad Police.
Different units of Islamabad Police also participated in the “Youm-e-Tashakur” ceremony held at F-9 Park. Various stalls were set up by Islamabad Police to inform citizens about the services provided by the police, efforts to maintain law and order and measures taken to ensure smooth traffic flow in the city.
At Police Lines Headquarters, members of Friends of Police internship program joined officers of Islamabad Police in a solidarity walk to pay tribute to the Pakistan armed forces.
They also visited the martyrs’ memorial and offered prayers. Similarly, under the supervision of DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, Islamabad Police officers and personnel carried out a flag march to honor the brave armed forces of Pakistan.
