ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, a ceremony was held at the Capital Police College by the Islamabad Police in connection with Global Parents Day.
A large number of male and female police officers, along with their parents, participated in the event. Participants shared their thoughts on the greatness of parents, their vital role, and the importance of their upbringing. On this occasion, Director of Special Initiatives Shams-ul-Haq Durrani and SP Capital Police College Najeeb Shah delivered special addresses. Both officers highlighted the sacrifices of parents, their role in character building, and the importance of family values.
They noted that June 1st is a day to pay tribute to the love, sacrifices, and compassion of parents.
Parents are a child’s first school—their prayers, guidance, and attention lay the foundation for a child’s bright future. The officers further stated that on this day, we should pledge to consider our parents true partners in every stage of education and development, so that every child may excel in knowledge, character, and confidence. A strong bond with parents and their trust strengthens our educational system.
They also urged participants to respect their parents, spend time with them, and regard their prayers as a valuable asset.
