ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police’s pride, Boxer Ali Nawaz, has returned to Pakistan. Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, along with other police officers and officials, warmly welcomed him at Islamabad International Airport. They greeted him with flowers and bouquets.
Constable Ali Nawaz, who participated in the World Police and Fire Games 2025 held in the United States of America, delivered an outstanding performance. He defeated athletes from other law enforcement agencies in boxing competitions, securing Pakistan Police’s first-ever silver medal at the international level.
He was brought to the Central Police Office (CPO) Islamabad with full official honors.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi congratulated Constable Ali Nawaz for his exceptional performance and for bringing pride to Pakistan on the global stage, praising his professionalism and skill.
He also commended Boxer Ali Nawaz for effectively balancing his official duties with his athletic career. He stated that dedicating oneself to both one’s responsibilities and sport with passion and hard work is a difficult but commendable achievement.
“Today, Ali Nawaz has proven that with continuous effort, dedication, and determination, any seemingly impossible goal can be achieved.
As the commander of this force, I feel proud knowing that we have such brave and duty-bound officials in our ranks who shine for their country and nation at every level,” he added.
He further stated that Ali Nawaz has won everyone’s hearts by bringing honor to Pakistan and the Islamabad Police on the international stage.
He awarded Ali Nawaz a cash prize and an honorary police shield, affirming that the department will provide full support for his participation in future international competitions.
