ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Monday visited the under-construction Assan Khidmat Markaz building to review the progress of construction, renovation and beautification work.
The chairman, accompanied by Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza and other concerned officers, was briefed on the status of the project.
Officials informed him that more than 95 per cent of the construction work had been completed and that finishing work was currently under way.
They said that floor cleaning and other essential tasks, including installation of furniture, were being carried out on a priority basis.
The chairman was also informed that construction activities were continuing round the clock to ensure timely completion of the project, which is expected to be opened to the public soon.
According to the briefing, modern technology is being incorporated at the Assan Khidmat Markaz to facilitate efficient delivery of public services.
Randhawa stressed that while timely completion of the project was important, no compromise would be made on construction quality.
He said that once operational, the Assan Khidmat Markaz would provide services of nearly 100 departments under one roof, including CDA’s One-Window Facilitation Centre, to facilitate citizens of the federal capital.
